Apparently, baby doesn't so much fancy Oreos. I enjoyed them while eating them, but that was short lived. Instant gut rot. Ick!
Apparently, baby is the size of a large mango. That is pretty big, in my opinion. It is hard to believe there is a human growing inside of me. Really!?!? Like, have you ever stopped and thought about that??? A human! In my belly!?!? Kind of crazy, if you ask me. Every time I think about it, it seems more and more strange. Isn't it supposed to work the other way. Aren't I supposed to get used to the idea? It is a weird feeling going my whole life with my body just mine. Being the only person I really have to worry about. Now, my body is part mine, part hers. And if my body fails, so does hers. Such a strange and amazing concept once I stop and think about it.
Apparently, I am supposed to be well into the "I can feel her kick" stage, and into the "I can see her kick" stage. Hmmmm. That doesn't appear to be the case. Have I felt her kick? Yes, I think I probably have. But, at the same time, they are so subtle and far between that it is easy for me to attribute it to something else. I want a swift couple of kicks. Good ones. Kicks that I couldn't possibly mistake for an arising burp. And I want to see it! I feel like much of this pregnancy has been a mix of wanting a noticeable baby belly, but at the same time, wanting everything else to STOP getting bigger. And at the same time wanting clothes to be comfortable again. And wanting to look normal. And be able to wear normal jeans. And waiting to be able to feel her and see her kick. And wanting my due date to be soon, but wanting as many days of ample amounts of sleep as possible. Pregnancy is so confusing!
The JBF (Just Between Friends) consignment sale was a hit! (I think I wrote about it earlier?). My mom came with and we picked up a few things :) I was so proud of myself for spending under $100!!! I got a highchair ($20), Baby Bjorn ($5), Boppy ($7), a warm body suit for baby ($4), 3 pairs of gap maternity pants ($15), 2 maternity sweaters ($8), and a Citizens of Humanity knee length jean skirt ($20). I am forgetting a few things, but you get the gist. It was a successful trip :)
Here is the highchair ($120 retail):
Also new news...Mike and I went to a breastfeeding class at Baby's R Us, learned a lot about what we need to do and decided to create a registry there. So we are now registered at Target and Baby's R Us.
I am still on a search for the perfect diaper bag and a changing table. And a small dresser. And a rug.
Here is a diaper bag I have my eye on :)
