Status Updates:

I figured, what better way to describe how I've been feeling lately than a list of my recent facebook status updates... I think they will sum things up fairly well.

Running in order to make it to class on time was SOOO not worth it - Having trouble walking.

If ONE more person says "you look further than that" or "must be a big baby" they're gonna get it!

Anyone know of a good restaurant in the Twin Cities for the hubby and I to go on New Year's Eve?

Nesting...I guess. Or just cleaning and doing laundry out of boredom :)

Dearest Roxy,
Next time you wander off and make mama traipse through 4 ft snow for 30 min to find you, I'm leaving you to freeze.

Now that I am 8 months pregnant, I decided I should probably not be allowed to be around people. They just make me mad and one of these days, some unsuspecting person is gonna get the brunt of my wrath... Like the stupid lady at Target.

Dear BMW,
You are, at this moment, my best friend. You don't talk back. You warm me when I'm chilly (especially the heated steering wheel). You drive fast when I'm irritated. And you give my uncomfortable pregnant body a hug whenever I like. You also never complain when I go shopping. I will love you forever and ever.

Christmas Time is Here

Christmas is in 4 days! It came so quickly! To be honest, I thought by this time I would be big as a house and not want to do anything...Not completely true! I am feeling pretty good actually. I think it helps that I am now done with the semester and I get to sit around most of the day (And sleep in!). My belly is getting fairly huge, I would say but it isn't too inconvenient. And the clothes situation isn't really getting any more difficult. I generally wear leggings every day and leggings don't discriminate :) With all that said, it is getting increasingly difficult to get up from a sitting or laying position. I need to work on my ab muscles! I mostly have to roll to a stand. Haha

I got my Christmas outfits yesterday. I thought I needed something cute to make me feel good for Christmas. I got a couple cute tops and some leggings (of course) to go with them. I was searching for some cute boots that would fit over my enlarged feet and calves, but I didn't find any. I will probably just wear some black heels (closed toe!). I still fit in most of my heels, which is really REALLY nice! Nothing like a good pair of heels to make a girl feel good ;) I'll have to remember to take some Christmas pics in my outfits in front of the tree and post them on here.

DH and I are SO ready for our little bean to be here! She is around 4 1/2 lbs now (the size of a large pineapple). That seems huge to me! She is growing so fast now - it's amazing! I'm still hoping I go a little early, say...in 4 weeks (37 weeks). However, I don't know that I could possibly be that lucky! Hehe But the timing would be perfect! I would be just finishing up my remaining courses from this past semester and it would give me an extra 3 weeks to spend with our little one. A girl can always hope, right?!?

Lastly, a confession: I am SOOOO tempted to buy some super cute diapers that are a super good price! I know I don't need them, but I really really want them. I think DH would have a hissy fit. Let's see how good my self control is ;)

Update! :)

Pre-natal appointment was moved to earlier this afternoon. Everything looks good - My blood pressure is good (even on the low side), weight gain was good (1 lb/week since last appt), baby is measuring right at 32 weeks, her HR was 155 and she was movin' and groovin'! :) Yay!!! Healthy baby = Happy momma! I start having appointments every two weeks now, which means 4 more appointments until she is supposed to be here!!! Fly time, fly!!!

The dates for my showers are all set (except for the shower with my extended family after Lydia arrives).
-Dental girls shower: January 8th (Happy Birthday, Dad!)
-Friends shower thrown by my lovely SIL: January 9th (Happy dating anniversary, DH!)

And, for all of those who have lost track of time, Christmas in in a week and a half!!!! I love the Holidays! Plus, I have all my gifts wrapped and they look so pretty - they just need the finishing touches.

Speaking of the Holidays, I have no idea what we are going to do for New Years this year. We usually go snowboarding...that is definitely not happening this year. So, I need a plan B.

On another note, I have started to feel increasingly icky the last few days. I am nauseous in the mornings after I eat breakfast until I have my mid-morning snack (Cheez-Its). Usually I am ok during the day, especially when it is a busy day (ie at school) when I am go-go-go. But at night, my lower back hurts and I get kind of crampy, I guess would be the best way to describe it. I feel like I did when I got my period. ICK! We have a pre-natal appointment tonight, so I'll bring it up and hope it isn't something I need to be concerned about.

I decided to not brave the cold (-10 degrees) at 6:30 this morning to go to lab. Instead, I will be studying by the fire all day at Panera with soup and hot chocolate. If that doesn't make me feel better, I don't know what will!

It's Poppin'

Ummmm....holy-moly! I cannot believe how much my belly has grown in the last 3 weeks! Yikes!!!! Bigger belly must mean the end is near! I am supposed to have 8 weeks left - 6 would be alright with me :)

Here are my 32 weeks belly shots:

Definitely getting bigger :)

So, what I thought was our plan for after the baby was born is no longer our plan. Our plans have pretty much completely changed in the matter of one week. Originally, I was going to take 4 weeks off from school, when normally I would be in clinic full time, and then make up the clinic hours I missed during breaks. Well, lucky us, our program decided to add 5(!!!!) classes to our schedule for next semester. So not only would I have clinic time to make up, but I would also have to make up 5 classes. Well, DH and I agreed that, even if it was feasible to do (which I don't really think it would be), it probably wouldn't be worth it to try to stay caught up next semester. So plans were (tentatively) finalized today for my to take a "leave of absence" next semester and go back in May for the Summer semester. This will set be behind a semester but I will most likely still be "graduating" with my class in December 2011. I would just graduate and remain at the school to finish up clinic time and boards and whatever else I needed to get done to complete the program. I am just so relieved that we figured out what we will be doing AND I'll get to stay home with my baby for the first 3+ months of her life! Yippeeeee!!!! We will still need to figure out childcare for when I go back to school in May, but we are so lucky to have my MIL watching our little bean part time :)

I just got the gift for the family the School of Dentistry is supporting this Christmas - I am so excited about it! It is for a 11 year old girl. I got her two outfits, a pink ribbon and pearl necklace and some cute head bands :) I couldn't help but get excited for going shopping for my little one's clothes in the future! I hope she likes what I got her - I think it is SO cute!
